One of Simon Willard's original business cards. Off-white cardboard with printed oak-leaf geometrical design frame with the following text:
"Simon Willard Jr.; Congress 9 Street; Boston; Chronometers; Duplex, Virgule, Horizontal, Repeating, & Patent Lever Watches repaired. Stratton, Sc."
Printed with five different fonts and decorative elements with number 9 in octagon and “Boston” in oval lines in the middle.
Was probably used for new and existing customers and distributed at the docks and in the port for the ship captains in Boston and surrounding areas.
